ACCURACY · INDEPENDENCE · FAIRNESS

Editorial Standards

Our credibility depends on applying to ourselves the same standard of precision and disclosure that we apply to companies.

Independence

Editorial findings are not influenced by advertising, sponsorship, affiliate commissions, manufacturers, investment positions, or the companies we examine. Any material relationship relevant to a report must be disclosed prominently.

Evidence

We prioritize primary records, distinguish validation from marketing, describe study limitations, and avoid implying that the absence of evidence automatically proves the opposite.

Right of Response

Before publishing a material adverse finding, we make reasonable efforts to present the exact question or discrepancy to the company and provide a fair opportunity to respond. Responses are evaluated as evidence, not accepted as conclusions.

Corrections

Material errors are corrected promptly and transparently. The correction identifies the original error, the revised information, and the date of the change. Minor typographical corrections need not receive a formal notice.

Language

We evaluate statements and omissions rather than presume motive. Terms such as fraud, deception, or falsehood are used only when the evidentiary and legal basis is sufficiently established. Strong conclusions require strong documentation.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, funders, and advisers must disclose financial, professional, personal, or competitive interests that could reasonably be perceived as affecting an investigation.
We investigate claims—not personalities. We publish evidence—not insinuation.
Questions or correction requests may be sent through the contact page and should identify the exact passage at issue and provide supporting documentation.
